Oh and it's set to normal, I never set it to prefer maximum performance the setting makes no sense to me (hot during idle, temp throttling during load lol)Īlso note I undervolted the card which is good for about 3-4C under load, but obviously does nothing while idling. I just kinda have a suspicion the thermal pads are not adequate, if there even are any lol. So I'll just conclude until now, maybe it's normal, maybe not The fans are off, they're set to start at 45C, another thing where it's apparent the card is rather toasty since my other GPUs were set to start their fans at 40C and they never turned on outside of playing games. Well I'm comparing this to my other GPUs, so room temp is somewhat not a factor as my room generally is between 19 and 21 C all year (couple of weeks during summer it's a bit more warm obviously but not relevant to this 10 above ambient, see, mines 20-25 above ambient which just seems bit hot especially compared to my other GPUs as said (GTX 1060, GTX 1070, heck even the 5500XT was running yeah well this is similar to mine, except this card has no huge spikes at all, it simply crawls to higher temps over time, especially when watching videos or doing other light tasks. Fixed UI rendering issues when large number of wallpapers are installed. What are your GPU fan speeds My 3080 has a zero-rpm mode which causes temps to get a bit toasty but at the minimum fan speed my idle temps are between 28-30c. Fixed 'All process' pause algorithm which is not implemented being user selectable. I also dont know what idle 3070 temps are, but from what I remember mines 40c-ish for open case, ambient is about 30c. Adjusted spacing and translation strings. Also what GPU had larger power spikes when my NVCP settings were set to "Prefer Maximum Performance", setting this to "Normal" solved that. Updated active wallpaper and screensaver dialogs.
